Heller's Record

With just 41 days until the election, I thought I would use this opportunity to point out some of the legislation Dean Heller voted AGAINST.

This legislation includes:

HR 5244: The Credit Card Holders’ Bill of Rights – Heller voted against a bill that would end abusive practices by credit card companies.

Labor Day Campaigning

It's been an exciting week out on the campaign trail.  Our trip through the rurals started in Elko at a BBQ fundraiser for the local high school band.  We had some great steak and Jill got the chance to chat with a lot of folks about the issues.  One of the highlights of the event was the dessert auction.  Jill spotted a huge basket of cookies, and after a serious bidding battle... it was hers.

Welcome from Jill

My campaign is off to a fantastic start thanks to all of you! There were many familiar and friendly faces who joined me for my formal announcement in Reno and it was great to know that I can count on your support. I continue to hear from many of you who share my frustration with politics as usual in Washington and have a desire to see change.

Welcome!

Today, I am announcing my candidacy for Congress. I'm Jill Derby, and I'm back, and I'm still fed up with Washington and want to give career politicians the boot.

While Dean has been in Washington, I've been traveling the state, Pahrump to Elko to Reno to the Carson Valley, talking with everyday Nevadans about the issues that they are concerned about and listening to their stories. What I've heard over and over is a frustration with politics as usual, special interest trumping the people's interest, and a deep desire for change.
